Lyra Oey  is an artist and curator based in Ghent, Belgium.
From 2017 to 2022, Oey studied at KASK School of Arts in Ghent, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design (printmaking) and a master’s degree in Fine Art.
Oey’s transdisciplinary practice transcends the boundary between body, traces and reproduction and questions normative patterns and systems of the Western society. The body as an ‘image machine’ is a key starting point in their work. The forms that create the artistic practice uses different mediums such as mixed media installations, performances, sculptures, printed matter or as simple as text in space.
